Adam Umar with his two wives and 13 Children accepted Jesus Christ
Yesterday one of our disciples called Siddig* from a certain IDP camp called me and he told me that he has shared Jesus Film with more than one hundred and fifty persons. He told me that most of the people in his area, when they see him they will ask him to share Jesus film. He said that those whom he shared with also shared many with other people. Siddig said: “It is a movement of the Holy Spirit for most of the people when they watch Jesus film, they have responded positively and a big number of Muslims accepting Christ.” He said, people are really talking about the move of Christianity in the camp
A few days’ ago, a Muslim man name Adam Umar* walked up to him and said: “Siddig, we have heard about the problem that is going on in our camp, and many people are saying that you are the one turning people’s sons and daughters to Christianity. Is it true or false?” Siddig said, “It is false, I have no power to change anyone’s daughter or son but God is the one calling his sons and daughters into his kingdom.”
Muhammad asked Adam Umar, “but why do you call that a problem? If people are accepting Christ as their personal Lord and savior. Is that a problem?” Adam Umar told him, “don’t you know that if you are a Muslim and denounce Islam, and adopt any other religion that you deserved to die?” Siddig answered, “I know but death is everyone’s destination. However, let me tell you about the people who accept Christ as their personal Lord and savior. They do not fear the temporary death but rather they fear the eternal death.”
Siddig told him let me tell you what the Bible says about this. Jesus knew that there would be people killing his followers and he pre-warned them in (Matthew 10:28). And they opened the Bible and read, “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Do you people know about hell? Adam Umar asked. Siddig said, I would like you to watch Jesus film and you will decide whom you will fear. Adam Umar said, yes I would like to know about this, I didn’t know that Christians know about hell. Siddig shared Jesus film with Adam Umar and he also asked Muhammad to loan him his Bible and he will bring it back.
Adam Umar took the materials and went and within only one week he came back to Siddig and told him, “My friend thank you so much for I didn’t know that Bible was such a beautiful book. I have accepted Jesus Christ and both my two wives and my children. We have decided to fear Him who is able to destroy both the soul and body. We watched Jesus’ film in our language and when we were watching the film everybody cried. I have also shared the gospel with Muazin (that is a man in mosque who calls people to come for prayer) did you hear him these days calling people for prayer?” Siddig told me that he was much surprised with what God is doing in that IDP camp.
David, do you remember in 2021 in Arua when you have given me money to buy a phone? I bought a phone and gave to this Siddig who has now brought many people to Christ. He told me to give you special thanks for the gift. He told me the phone helped him a lot to go online to read more Christian materials to help him in witnessing for Jesus Christ among his people. I also call new believers to encourage them and to share what God is doing.
