2 Timothy 2:2 “…and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

Paul’s admonition to Timothy, his “son in the gospel,” points to the church’s ceaseless task of training new leaders in how to effectively preach, evangelize, and start new churches. There are four generations mentioned in the verse: Paul, Timothy, faithful men, and others. Trainers of gospel workers, based on this verse, like to point out that a genuine gospel or church planting “movement” is characterized by four generations of growth.

How does CRM’s record of empowering self-sustaining gospel movements among least reached peoples measure up against this standard? That’s a good question. I answer by way of an example.

Recently, we received several testimonies from Darfurian people who received Bibles provided by CRM. One of the testimonies was from Hawa, who received the Lord Jesus through a ministry led by Darfurian women believers every Friday. They utilize the CRM produced Creation to Christ Story Cloth during the meetings to share Bible stories.

Hawa heard the stories from an unnamed female believer who was trained by a woman named Suad. Suad was trained during a conference led by a CRM short-term mission team. Hawa, in turn, shared the gospel with her mother, a local school teacher who taught the Quran for over 22 years. Hawa’s mother is now committed to teaching the Bible to her current and former students.

So, here’s the chain: a CRM short-term mission team, Suad, an unknown lady, Hawa, Hawa’s mom, and possibly dozens more to come through the former teacher of the Quran.

In early May, another CRM sponsored short-term mission team will travel to Arua, Uganda, to train fifty female and male Sudanese believers. Some of them will travel from as far as South Sudan and refugee camps scattered around Uganda. Each one of them could be the first link in a four-generation gospel chain.

But to attend the training, these Sudanese refugees need your help. So, we are asking you, the people who share our passion and vision, to sponsor as many of the fifty attendees as you can at $150 per person. The dedicated link to give for this special opportunity is below. If you want to donate by check, please mail it to Calvary Road Ministries, 4212 San Felipe St., PMB # 195, Houston, TX  77027.

Help us train the next woman or man whose influence, like Suad’s, can reach deep into the villages of war-torn Darfur.

With deep appreciation,
