Some details of the incident in Za____ Church.
The Christian Church in Za____ was brutally attacked by perpetrators at 1 am after midnight. This has happened after most members of the Church confess their sin and vowed to serve God with their entire lives. It was on 21/2/2022 that 6 Muslims gave their lives to Christ and they were deeply sorry for their lives they live without Christ. After the midnight of 23/2/2022 at one p.m. unknown gunmen arrived at the church compound kicking the doors, shouting Allahu-Ackbar (that’s “great is allah!”) and firing, saying, we shall kill all the infidels today and they were blaspheming Christianity.
Mursa* who fled there was reporting exactly. I knew he was very traumatized, so I cooled him down by telling him let’s pray first and we shall talk about this.
Then I asked him what had happened.
He said, “I was sleeping, and I was dreaming that someone wanted to take off my blanket and I woke up. I went to rest room and when I was coming back, I met a young boy call Alnazir he asked me not to close the door for I also want to go to the shelter. So, he went to the shelter when he was coming back into the room. He saw people with guns, and he shouted loudly and woke the other students who were sleeping. Then the intruders got with all the shouting above. I was hiding near the door, they shot at me with three bullets but none of the bullets hit me. I managed to escape, I went to Husna’s home and I woke her up and came with her here. Because I knew people would not open for the door at this time of night and they don’t know me”.
Then I immediately called Pastor Mubarak after he received my call. I could hear them sing praising songs with a loud voice (I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back).
I asked him, what had happened?
He told me that unknown gunmen came into the compound and they attacked all the four living room doors by kicking them and they destroyed them. They shouted Allahu-ackbar, they threaten us that they are going to kill all of us, however they were afraid to get in, nonetheless, they have tried to enter in my room and I caught the gun barrel I want take from him the gun and he started firing and the students with me urged me to leave the gun barrel and I released the gun. They did not get in, they continued to shout we shall kill all of you today we shall kill all of you today!
Then we prayed to God, our Lord Jesus. It’s for of your name’s sake that people are hating us, if it is your will for us to die, let your will be done, if it is not your will we need your protection. Amen! And the perpetrators immediately went out. They collected some chairs and some clothes and chose a small table. But we are only missing one person. We don’t know whether he is alive or dead because these guys ran after him. I asked, do you mean Mursa*? He is here with me.
They were happy again, they continued praying and singing praising songs until the morning.
Let’s pray for the Church and especially for the students who are in the class. Most of them are very worried and are not able to concentrate.
