What a strong faith out of difficult situation like the one of “Zainab” who has got serious problem with her marriage. Zainab has heard about the church in _______. She is a teacher in one of the schools of our area. She came in the church and she said “I have heard about the church but I don’t see bad people coming here so I have decided to come and see whether their message is true!” “What do people say?” we asked her. She said, “people are saying that infidels have arrived in our country, and they have brought Christian materials teaching our children. But what I am seeing are very smart people are coming in the church and there is no problem happening. So, I have come to check by myself if this is true.”
We told her “you are a teacher and you understand most of the materials when you read. You can judge by yourself if Christian materials are wrong.” We gave her Paul’s message to Galatians we asked her to read by herself. She took a time and read the book and read she was interested with the fruit of the Holy Spirit. She asked, “the book is really nice but do you really believe that Jesus is the Son of God?” We took time to explain for her what does it mean when we say Jesus is the son of God. At last, her mindset was changed and she said, “I wish I had known this before!” She asked very funny question, “do you accept women to be Christians?” We told her “You are a daughter of the Lord from the time you have decided to accept Christ.”
Zainab accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and after the prayer she felt joyful. She said “I had a dream for such occasion but I didn’t know that this was the time!” She requested for a Bible and we gave her one. She took it with her. She hid the book from her husband for almost three weeks. But a day came her husband found her reading the Bible. The husband asked “what kind of a book that you are reading?” She answered, life solution book. Her husband was like, okay let me see it. He read the book and he said “this is Christian book where did you get it?” She didn’t lie, she said I went to the church, and I got it there. The husband got very annoyed and call for her father.
Now the father came and asked her about the story of the book. She explained everything clearly. The father said, “your husband is very clear if you follow this book he is going to divorce you and I am out of this.” She said to her father that “you have taught us that truth is over all and we have to live it. And now as Jesus is the truth, we don’t need to change it. You are the only two men that meant a lot in my life. But God is above all of us. One thing I know is that you have not read this book I ask you to read this book carefully and if there are things you don’t understand go to these people of the Church to explain for you.” Both the father and the son-in- law went out while they are confused. We are still waiting to see what God is going to in Zainab’s life. Please pray with her as she is going to face challenges.
