For we know, brothers beloved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction.” 2:13 “…when you received the word of God, which you received from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God.

Bibles for Darfur
Since January, CRM’s top priority has been supplying God’s Word to the Jebel Marra area in Darfur, Sudan. In January, 1,500 Bibles were delivered, followed by another 3,000 in April. The reports we have received about the impact God’s Word has produced since then are reminiscent of Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians, who prior to his arrival, had also lacked access to the gospel.
God has attended the reading and hearing of His Word with power and full conviction as over 2,800 people publicly professed Jesus as Lord in Savior during June and July alone. And like the Thessalonians, they are receiving and standing on the Word despite much persecution. This week, we have posted their testimonies on CRM’s website. A link to the testimonies is on the home page and can be viewed here. Please read them. They will give you joy.
One of CRM’s core values is “collaborating with like-minded organizations.” I am happy to share that one such organization accepted our grant application for funds sufficient to purchase 2,500 more Bibles. The bookseller from whom we purchase Bibles has a total of 5,000 in stock.
Given the distance and dangers involved in transporting Bibles to Darfur, we have decided to ship the Bibles when we have purchased all 5,000 of them. To do so, we need another $27,000. Please pray for God’s provision and consider giving sacrificially for those whose resilient faith is such an inspiration. The return on your investment will be transcendent.
On another front, “Bibles for Africa,” a South African ministry, previously committed to print 50,000 New Testaments for Darfur. Unfortunately, we recently learned that they only have paper sufficient to print 20,000. The ministry needs another $30,000 to purchase the rolls of paper needed to print the remaining 30,000 New Testaments. That’s $1 each and they will donate their time, ink, and shipping. Let us pray for God’s provision, so when the shipping container leaves South Africa bound for Darfur, will contain 50,000 Bibles.
Pastor Raj’s First Story Cloth Conference in the Odisha State
CRM’s partner in India, Pastor Raj, led his first Story Cloth conference in Odisha state August 20-21. It was well attended. Odisha state is home to 45 million people in 799 people groups with a high illiteracy rate. Hindu leaders there are known for stirring up severe persecution against Christians. We are inspired by Raj boldly taking the gospel to Odisha. Please pray for him and all those who attended the training.
