March 2026

“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” Psalm 46:5

Greetings from Nairobi, Kenya, where I write this newsletter after concluding a successful mission trip to Arua, Uganda, and before traveling to South Sudan, to connect with another CRM short-term mission team.

March 8 was International Women’s Day. It is the annual focal point date when numerous organizations, including CRM, strive to highlight and alleviate the unjust practices and violence that make the lives of millions of women and girls unnecessarily painful and hard.

CRM is a Christ-centered and evangelism-focused ministry.

Teaching women and relieving their suffering is a prime focus of CRM when stewarding the precious resources entrusted to us. We do this in obedience to Jesus’ teachings and example. By way of example, in March 2026 alone, CRM empowered, equipped, and relieved the suffering of women and girls amid the horrific Sudanese civil war by:

  • Presenting the gospel and providing discipleship training to 50 displaced Sudanese women using the CRM Creation to Christ and Acts Story Cloths, so they may spread the gospel in their refugee camps and villages when they return.
  • Training 30 Sudanese male church leaders in biblical manhood and marriage. Much emphasis was placed on the need to stop wife beating and all forms of domestic violence so prevalent within traditional Sudanese Islamic culture.
  • Purchasing, transporting, and distributing cooking utensils and water containers to 2,000 households primarily led by women because the men have been slaughtered by the rebel forces. They live in refugee camps located within Darfur. CRM previously provided food and shelter to many of these women and children.
  • Providing 6,000 hardcopy Sudanese Arabic Bibles and hundreds of solar powered devices loaded with scripture and gospel films in digital format. The truth and peace suffering Sudanese women need and seek can ultimately only be obtained through a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. And “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.”A clarion call to action.

Sudanese women and girls are paying the highest price in the ongoing Sudan civil war, facing a growing catalogue of abuses, including murder, sexual violence, displacement, intimidation, and severe hunger. By God’s grace, and with your prayerful, generous support, CRM will continue providing for the physical and spiritual needs of the women and girls caught in the crossfire. This month, as the world focuses on the needs and contributions of women, join us in making a real difference for both time and eternity.
